The views from Pink Horse are amazing
“We visited St. John for the first time in January 2019 to celebrate my girlfriends 50th birthday. After some research, we decided to stay on the Coral Bay side of the island and selected Pink Horses Villa. Two great choices!! The Coral Bay area is less developed than Cruz Bay and St. Thomas which was a great choice for a relaxing week.
We also picked the perfect Villa in Pink Horses. Pink Horses is spacious, beautiful and provides all the amenities you need. The views from Pink Horse are amazing. You will overlook beautiful Coral Bay. The pictures in the listing really represent the views. Sitting on the deck provides a great way to start and end your day in paradise. Pink Horses is perfectly located. It’s a couple of minutes drive up the hill from Coral Bay restaurants and a 10-15 minute drive from other Coral Bay/East End destinations.
We loved how laid back it is in Coral Bay. People are all very friendly at the local establishments. We eat and/or had drinks at all of them including Skinny Legs, Aqua Bistro, Wok on the Beach, Ms. Lucy’s and Indigo Grill/Rhumb Lines. Loved them all. Would recommend Sunday Brunch at Ms. Lucy’s and food at Rhumb Lines.
Terri, the owner of Pink Horses was easy to work with and very helpful with answering any questions we had while planning our trip. We highly recommend Pink Horse Villa.”
This was our first trip to this wonderful island
“This was our first trip to this wonderful island. We were looking for something a little off the beaten path and we ended up in paradise. Once we settled on St John, I searched dozens of listings looking for a great view and a place that my family could make lifelong memories at. Pink Horses delivered that and more! Terri Irwin is an excellent owner and the transactions with her were as easy as could be. Upon arrival on the island, we met Nancy, her onsite manager, who led us across the island to Pink Horses and she gave us the complete walkthrough and answered all of our questions.
Renting a 4WD Jeep is a must and there are many places on the island where if you don’t have 4WD, you could be in stuck. The trade winds were pretty active that week and the breezes on the mountain were strong. We pretty much kept the doors and windows open most of the time and sleeping with the breezes and night sounds was awesome!
The morning sunrises with coffee on the deck was so perfect, I could have stayed there for hours. The full moon on Christmas night lit up Coral Bay almost like it was daytime. We ate all of our breakfast and about half of our dinners at the villa. The Kitchen is fully equipped and I even made a Christmas pork roast island style. With all of the snorkeling and hiking we did, I am definitely glad they have a washer and dryer on site.”
“This was our second trip to St. John, and the first time we stayed on the Coral Bay Side of the island. We loved the location because it was close to restaurants, food shopping, and the view was truly fantastic. Although the road is steep, it is paved for most of the way, and we had no trouble getting to the house with our four-wheel drive Jeep.
The owner was a pleasure to work with as was Nancy who met us at the ferry and took us to Star Fish Market for groceries on our way to the house. She also recommended a fishing charter, Double Header, to my husband and brother. They had a great day fishing and caught yellowtail snapper and king mackerel which we cooked a variety of ways on the grill.
The house is as pictured in the photos, and is clean and well-maintained. When we requested another beach chair or noticed that the glass carafe for the coffee maker was cracked, Ernie, Nancy’s husband was prompt in delivering another chair and coffee maker. We went to different beaches and snorkeled every day loving them all. We did our shopping at Lily’s and Love City, but our favorite place was Josephine’s for her fresh organic greens and some vegetables.
We especially love Miss Lucy’s Restaurant and went there twice, once for lunch for the grouper Reubens, and once for the jazz brunch which was fantastic. We also enjoyed Aqua Bistro and Skinny’s, but hanging out on the deck for cocktails and dining in was the best. Oh, there’s a lime tree on the property too, so there’s always fresh limes for your drinks. The sleeping arrangements are great for two couples, and there is privacy in each bedroom because they are on different levels. We certainly would recommend this property.”
